Led 1 is usually relay, similar issue as with Brooks F1 errors, tapping the relay will get it running for the short term. If its brushes then you need to take the seat off below the swivel base. Activate the OSG and I also run a luggage strap or rope around the carriage and a rail post as a fail safe in case it starts heading south when you remove the motor brake.
Accessing the brushes is relatively simple, once you remove the power switch and hand winding bracket the brake is easily removed giving access to the top of the motor, it’s a while since I’ve had to do one so I’d have a go with a spare motor first to see the lay of the land with regard to holding the brushes in position, keyways, circlips and bearings that may require a pull.
