Bruno Elan SRE-3000 poor performance…failing batteries?

We get a beeping noise on occasion. Light isn’t flashing red, but it is SLOW going up the stairs. I figure the unit always runs on battery but constantly tops off. Slow performance would indicate weak battery output. Can anyone confirm and is there a guide on how to access and replace the batteries? I know they are available on Amazon, so a cheap part to replace.

battery’s are 12v 3ah according to install manual!
in the past with bruno’s I’ve had issues with the charging when the charge pick ups wear and fail to make good contact with the charge ramp, make sure both are clean and the pick ups as pushed firmly onto the ramps when the lift is parked
