Hi folks,
Does anyone know where the wires on the back of the on/off isolation switch on the side of the stairlift go to please, I have no power to it after taking it apart to fix it after the charging light got dislodged. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, did one yesterday, and another straight Acorn exact problem you describe, as well, several months ago. However, your question is insufiiciently broad, which could result in bad advice that would damage your stairlift or other readers’ stair lifts. A photo with arrows, e.g. “this connector..” is necessary from you, so other readers do not get misled, like 2/3 of the replies in the Facebook Acorn Users Group (and its 1,200 Acorn owners who apparently do not practice the Law Of Appreciation, thereby calling in the Old Testament’s Curse of Murmuring unto themselves). Btw, am an independent repairguy, not beholden to the Acorn Company. One more thing: This problem is caused by accidentally pulling the impact detector panel off, usually with a resultant plastic hinge breakage. I repair hinges from anywhere in the world for only $35 each. My “repair diary” video clips are online.

Acorn stairlifts have stacked, hidden, and even secret error codes. Our tech team discovered many of them by using graphical electronic and electric meters. These errorcodes display nominally as multifunction errors. There is no specific broken hardware, so it was trial and error.
