Stannah 260 Powered Swivel
-
-
northern-mobilityParticipant260 two way swivel, top swivel starts or tries to swivel and then seems to stall
Releasing the toggle then trying again swivels a little more and so on
Bottom swivel not moving at all but I am getting a supply (12v) to the motor
Any Ideas?

ParticipantIf you’ve got a supply to the motor but no swivel then the motor must be suspect.
-
northern-mobilityParticipantYes my first thoughts also but unusual for both motors not to work, I don’t carry many Stannah spares so can,t swap to find out
I”m going to connect a Minivator swivel motor to it today to see if it will run that

ParticipantI’d be inclined to reset the encoder board. Just in case it all got out of sync because someone used the manual swivel lever
-
northern-mobilityParticipantI tried the reset thinking the same as you but no joy, passed the customer to Stannah now because they were desperate to get his mother out of hospital.
Shame, it goes against the grain doing that but needs must and I did warn him he would be a quite a bit poorer after their visit
Thanks for your input chaps

ParticipantDidn’t u ring tech support for help ??
-
nsl
MemberGood luck with that. Unless your a dealer mot a chance.
-
northern-mobilityParticipantI very rarely ring tech services for any lift company, all a waste of time.
The first question they usually ask is “is the lift turned on” or “have you checked the key switch” which really pisses me off

ParticipantJust for future reference This sounds like a sofia seat swivel the fault you are describing almost certainly points to the power swivel pcb being faulty. The other stannah dual swivel model (starla or sienna) only has 1 swivel motor the sofia has 2 motors
