ParticipantHi
I have been asked to repair a curved ascendit stairlift, the customer has emailed me some pictures but its not a lift I have seen before.
She has been told by a mobility engineer the it needs reprogramming can anyone confirm if this lift does need to be programmed?
Thanks in advance

ParticipantLooks like a stannah, certainly the rail is, on their Web site they have Thyssenkrupps the flow model so I suspect they don’t manufacture but are suppliers. Hope it helps.

MemberIt’s an oto two. Yes it requires programming with a oto programmer. You have to be an oto dealer. Where are you based

ParticipantIt is an otolift 2 it may not need reprogramming but just reset. There is a manual on dolphin site for oto 1 & 2 very comprehensive. They are easy enough to work on tbh but make sure you get some 375ma smd fuses as they are easy popped. Any stairlift engineer should get by using that manual but if it does need programed then it requires the programmer box. I have been working on a fair few oto 1s and 2’s and not yet found any that need reprogrammed. To reset you hold a call in for 20 secs plus and if the fault is clear it will reset. Read the fault number from the ecu and reference it to the manual. Comon 1 is fault code 8 that’s either osg tripped or smd fuse blown.
