Memberhi all. we have a bison stairlift at home that will not move if you are sat on it. if you get off and move it a foot you can then get on and it will go up. comes down no issue. it has new batteries and does not throw up a fault on display just tries to move and stops after an inch. the runners are clean and in good order. it has my head hurting. anyone have any idea what could be wrong.

MemberIts straight and not catching anywhere. That was ruled out. Seems it does not like a load at bottom it really has me beat.

MemberYou might check and see that there are no obstructions on the rail causing it to shut off.

MemberIts really got me beat. Cannot find anything wrong. If you send the lift up a foot and return it to bottom it will carry you up no bother. But if you just get on it the lift will only travel an inch.

ParticipantHad a similar issue on a b80, if yours is a curved stairlift check that the final limit finger isn’t hitting the striker plate. The one I had was where someone else had tried to install a fleabay lift and not programmed it correctly so it had overrun the final limit. Also incorrectly fitted charge point so when lift had no load the final limit finger ran past the striker plate.
