Acorn 130 Getting E4 errors often

Good day everyone,
Hopefully one of you has come across this and knows the answer to my issue.
About 8 years ago we got an Acorn 130 chairlift for my wife, being a leg amputee and pregnant wasn’t mixing well. In Dec of 2021 I replaced the batteries in her chair as it had slowed to a crawl when ascending and would act like it was caught up on the smallest amounts of debris in the track. During the course of replacing the batteries, I had to replace the terminal connector on one to accommodate the difference in size between the old and new batteries but the rest remained original.
For reference, this is what I replaced the battery with https://www.amazon.ca/Acorn-120-Superglide-Stairlift-Battery/dp/B087D5T7T3/ref=sr_1_2?crid=32IWTH0SGK2BU&keywords=Acorn+120+Superglide+12V+7Ah+Stairlift+Battery&qid=1694083188&sprefix=acorn+120+superglide+12v+7ah+stairlift+battery%2Caps%2C211&sr=8-2Chair has been working fine up until a few months ago when the E4 error would start popping up out of the blue. I’m an IT, so I’ve done some troubleshooting and I’m suspecting it to be a battery issue but I want to run it by the rest of you.
-Typically happens at the top of the stairs (she has to rotate the seat at the top, not at the bottom)
-Sometimes giving the whole carriage a rock will clear the error and allow her to go down
-I’ve noticed that when she uses it, I will see codes C4 when she starts and C1 when she uses it. I know C4 is full charge and C1 means the battery is low, but I’m not seeing C2 or C3 so I’m assuming this means one of the batteries isn’t providing full power
-I took the cover off this morning to check wires and contacts, all seems tight. Nothieems to be around the downward safety switch. Actioning that switch doesn’t help clear it.
-While I had the cover off the E4 error did stop, but since putting the cover on its sticking around again. I’ve double checked to make sure I’m not pushing on safety switch.
So in my mind, I believe its one of the batteries causing it to falsely detect the E4 switch being pressed. I’ve ordered a sing one as a replacement, but still curious on your opinions and experience.
