MemberBison 80 – Acorn Curve 180 with “E” flashing in display. Had the Grandkids visit. Flattened batteries. Removed and recharged them. Voltage now fine and as far as I know the switches are correct. An install manual would be ideal if someone has one I could get hold of as I have no idea as to what I am supposed to do to check the operation. Any information gladly accepted.
Thanks

MemberThe flashing “E” means that there is an installation error. If it is shown when the lift is being called, it indicates a motor brake failure. Send me your email address. Also check this page out:

ParticipantCheck you have the handing switch correctly set when in program mode. If the lift is on your left when you are looking up the stairs it left hand and vice versa. If it is in the wrong position it will give error E

MemberThanks ianb – your information will keep me busy for a while. Much appreciated.
Checked switches as you mentioned. Seems as though chair electronics it will not initialise. I am sure it must be something that I did. As i originally removed, charged and replaced the flat batteries. I thought it had lost its settings but the manual says these are retained except for a couple. Will let you know my progress.Regards and thanks.

northern-mobilityParticipantIt will have definitely have lost it’s program if you removed the batteries unless it’s one of the latest models
You have probably knocked the Left/Right hand board switch when removing/Installing the batteries
