here`s hoping guys. can someone tell me how to reset a freelift van gogh stairlift please and where i can get spares for the same? thanks in anticipation

Spares are from handicare.
Reset is a case of driving it up to top charge point using the internal controls, careful not to go past, relevel using internal controls then resite internal control to centre and wait for 2 beeps – all done -

thanks a bunch kevin, but no joy. problem started when i replaced”missing” countersunk screw from an old system to the powered hinge fixing it to the rail. extension stopped lifting and on closer inspection i discovered the screw damaged the 2 wires going to hinge motor. after removing hinge and wiring i thought lift would be ok as i dont really need the hinged extension but chair only rotates to alight from the chair with toggle switch in centre position. all functions ok when used with toggle switches. chair is sitting in top charging position. any ideas? thanks again

The switches I’m talking about are inside the casing, not the armrest toggle.

thats the ones i used kevin. after removing hinge from system the only movement from joystick was the rotation to dismount chair at top of rail but only after i moved chair to top by these rocker switches. i went through procedure of removing data card with seat sitting on charger contacts disconnecting battery, levelling chair with toggle switches and setting switch at front of batteries to running position but didnt hear the expected beep.

Only thing that I can think of is check your swivel switch to ensure the cam is activating the switch at the correct position, other than that I’m out of ideas, what part of the country are you?

thanks kevin i`m beside glasgow airport. this is a used unit i got from a house with identical staircase so knew it would fit. the swivel switch is ok but this problem only occurred after replacing the power hinge retaining screw which was missing and shorting both wires to the hinge motor. the screw was just a little longer than it should have been. i think i also damaged the pcb but have replaced that after checking the numbers against the card compatability chart and chair now travels and tilts as normal and swivels at top as it should. anyway have located a replacement hinge which is on its way from glamorgan and will be fitted in a couple of days (giving me enough time to get house in order before the wife descends on me). will keep you posted.
