Handicare 950 Swivel Mystery!

Hi again,
After solving the problem with the Handicare power swivel by replacing the main board, a new problem has developed that has me baffled, and I need to pick someone’s brain!
The power swivel operates when it gets to the top of the stairs, this is fine for a couple of times, then all of a sudden the next time the power swivel fails to operate.However I have discovered that by switching the stairlift on and off for a few seconds, the power swivel operates as normal until it decides to fail again.
As this fault seems to be cured temporarily by simply switching the lift on and off, I am at a loss as what the actual fault could be!
Can anyone suggest a cure or how to proceed further? -
sounds like either a coms issue or a board issue, switching the lift off is like doing a reset when you change the boards paremeters, swap the control boards over for the power swivel and footrest and see how it goes?

I’m guessing this lift is a right hand?
