Hello,
I inherited a Platinum Stairlift Ultimate from my grandparents I’m experiencing some issues with.
Is there a repair manual for this particular model? The regular manual is doesn’t provide much information at all.
Whenever I want to use it, I get a “Level Pot Fail” error code after it moved a few inches. Turning off and on the key switch let’s me move another few inches until the error code shows up again. What does this error code mean?
I tried moving the stairlift to the charging point with the above method, but it always shows “Set install hand” now and doesn’t move an inch anymore. What does this mean?
The starlift beeping all the time means low battery/power supply issue, right?

Le message “Level pot fail” indique que le potentiomètre de mesure d’inclinaison est défectueux, panne très fréquente sur ce modèle. Je répare moi-même maintenant, à peu près tous les 2 ans.
Il est situé sur un petit module circulaire fixé sur le côté droit (côté gauche du passager !), capot enlevé.
Il suffit d’en souder un autre, c’est un modèle “Rotary position sensor Murata SV01A103AEA0”, travail sans difficulté pour un amateur sachant manier un fer à souder.
J’ai maintenant moi aussi un nouveau message “Set install Hand” que je ne connais pas. Je n’ai pas réussi à trouver un manuel de maintenance. Peut-être un membre ici pourra nous en fournir un? Espérons..

The info about the Rotary Position Sensor is quite helpful to me. Have you found that the sensor is always broken when the error message appears or could there be a different reason the sensor doesn’t work properly?
Please let me know if you find out what the Set Install Hand error code means or if you get your hands on a repair manual.
