Hi there
Can anyone help me with a programming issue, i changed the batteries in my Acorn 180, put the chair in programming mode and got the ‘t’ symbol, i have tried several times to set the datum but when I toggle off the programming switch, instead of a 5 i get a horizontal line at the top and bottom of the display, service manual says the chair cannot be moved with this in the display, how do i get it to clear to get the chair into normal running mode?
Are you sure your not reading the switch wrong, the two horizontal lines means you have it in programming mode. It will move in this setting (very slowly) to allow you to set the datum
Hi Northern Mobility
Thanks for your reply, no when i put the programming switch to on, i get a t in the display, i try to set the datum, get an F in the display after activating the limit switch, but when i switch the programming switch to off, i get the horizontal lines top and bottom of display, cant do anything with the chair, i dont think it is remembering the programming of the datum
Ok so you have activated the final limit switch if indicating F, you need to reset that first and then you should be able to re-program. If you are not sure about the procedure then I would recommend getting a qualified engineer to do it for you
When I first powered the unit up and the batteries are charges I have 3 horizontal bars and a dot. If I move the carriage off the charge point the display goes blank and it begins beeping.
