This is a 950. It’s throwing #0 error which states on troubleshooting matrix as: Final Limit Activated. The seat is making its switch…the key is on. Chair was working fine. Was being stored in basement. Ran chair right before I put it on stairway. Plugged back in, and this is what I got. HELP!

Will have one of four potential faults – As an initial guess would suggest the safety line circuit is still open. Possibly due to loading of the lift or damage to switches of incorrect limit cam assembly. Alternatively low battery has only just come out of storeage. Total Lift Care are based in the Northwest – Ormskirk

Thank you…..I will pull the battery and check it’s reading…it does beep and share faults however when unplugged. All the switches “sound” as if they are making. We are in the Midwest….I’ve not found anyone local. Can u tell me how to check the switches functionality?

Batteries are best tested under load to ensure they can deliver current. Switches may sound ok but contacts may have resistance or be physically sticking internally. All switches on the safety line are normally closed and wired in series so that the volatge can be interrupted at any point prior to their voltage being fed back to signal the lift as circuit made. this can be checked with both resistance and voltage measurments respective to the circuit under test and also ground, being mindful of a back voltage which may cause further damage to the main lift controller.

Thank you much…so much!! I shall test likely tomorrow….helping our daughter move today. Will respond back. What’s my best option to obtain the safety switches, and are they (switches) all the same switch?

Batteries won’t give “0” fault, low battery is “1” or not charging is “2”
“0” is final limit circuit
keyswitch and swivel seat is on that circuit
Also and most likely the final limit switch underneath the carriage, if you look underneath there is a bank of three switches, it’s the middle one
If it’s quite new it will also have a e stop which will also give a “0” if pressed in

I’ve tested the two switches under the footrest…they are good. Not sure where those three under the carriage are but I’ll find them. Thank you again…I would have given up if not for your assistance!! Will get back after I dig further.

I believe an earth fault (short circuit) can also give error 0. so check for any pinched or trapped wires

Thank you….very difficult trying to figure out how to get to some of these switches….I’m punting for today….will pick this back up tomorrow.

The pack switches that you need to check means you would need to remove the lift from the rail to do this also 0 code can be caused if the overspeed govener has been tripped ..on the main board if you can see it is it green connectors of white ones

Holy cow….I got the electric side covered….but zero knowledge on how to disassemble the beast….here goes nothing…BUT THANK YOU for telling me how to check the switches in question….I’ve not given up yet!!

Northern Mobility…..guess I’m not finding that bank of3 switches…there’s a switch on the UP side mounted on the frame…..another similar on the DOWN side….not understanding where the 3rd is..I’ve tested every switch on this chair (7 including the keyswitch)…all GOOD. Still get “0” code.

You need to remove the pack completely from the rail, look underneath and there is a bank of three switches between the two side rollers.
