the buttons are safety edge switches mate. Also on the top near the batteries are 2 rocker type switches. 1 for levelling the other for moving the lift. If you DONT touch these when you replace the batteries you will not need to reprogram or reset the datum so don’t touch them. Just pop 2 new batteries in re assemble and it should be good to go. The remotes should be ok as well.
If not then post back and I will give details on how to reset datum etc. But like I say if you have not used the chassis drive buttons the datum will be fine.
Just make sure you put the footrest plug back in and not the link plug when you refit the seat.
