When you say the lift moves 5″ is that the seat or the carriage? For a Meditek carriage to move that much the pinion would jump the rack causing major damage to the rail! If you mean the seat is moving? Then either the seat post isn’t locked into place by the grub screw the seat post bolt is missing! the the shim in the seat post is missing! or they have left the seat level locking nuts loose! Either way it’s not good! And needs seeing too asap! Meditek state that all the bolts in the seat levelling section should be torqued up and loctite applied to the bolts, most installers do them ft and don’t bother with the loctite!
