For the record, I stated on that page that “… the stairlift will be without an overspeed governor. This could pose a safety risk and should only be done if you have a temporary need to move the lift without someone on it.”
Thankfully I am not a “stairlift engineer” otherwise I would hang my head in shame continually. However, actual “stairlift engineers” should hang their head in shame because I had one come out and charge me $250 to do absolutely nothing except say that he cannot fix my stairlift. I had another one come out and say I needed a new one for over $5,000 USD. The shameful thing is that customers are getting ripped off all over the world just because they have loved ones in need and who are disabled. $250 just to come out. $250 just for new batteries they don’t need. $150 just to “re-program” the stairlift. You “stairlift engineers” are ripping off the elderly and the ones that need the help the most. It is you that forced me to figure out everything about this hunk of garbage designed to make money after the sale.
