They are called Wheelchair Platform Lifts and have been available for years, often domestic properties are not large enough to take one though because of the space required.
In answer to the original post I have never been asked for any adaptions fitting to a stairlift, most issues can be easily overcome like a sealed beaker or flask if they want to take a hot drink upstairs
Majority of my customers that use oxygen bottles will have the oxygen piped upstairs so no need to carry any bottles.
