Thanks to everyone, I am grateful for all the comments, this is a great forum. NsI Thanks for the 3, I will be contacting all of them for quotes, Dolphin installed this one so will start with them, ianb It makes sense that it’s the gearbox, the noise and vibration is dreadful now, the rumbling on the down journey is as bad when loaded, my wife tried it this morning (the stairlift is for her) and it really made her feel bad so I need to act quickly. Thanks again to you all, will let you know when this gets sorted which will obviously be after Christmas now. I wish you all a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. Regards, Ian
