its easier to load the lift with the brush out unless you fancy losing a finger! i know an engineer who lost the tip loading a stannah 420 and was holding the pick ups back and he was a trained engineer……..
the lift will run without the brush in place so you could always install it after its loaded onto the rail to save breaking the pin or bleeding all over the carpet! just dont turn the charger on while you do it
