Thanks! That was more than enough to get the thing disassembled.

My only variation was that the only removable chain link was at the very top, so I just needed to make sure the chair was held in position and feed the chain through.

As none of the steps damaged the unit I’m now tempted to freecycle it, though it may be a little old to remain reliable.
