Horizon stairlift, end stop when going down

ParticipantHi all,
I am trying to help a family member with their Platinum stairlifts, Horizon stairlift.
It’s second hand and was working fine before it was moved. After installing it they are getting a continuous beep when trying to move down (left) and the error message “End stop”.
If we manually wind it down it goes up (right) with no issues.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks

ParticipantIt sounds like the sensor on the chair that detects the bottom end stop has got jammed when reinstalling the chair. I don’t know that model but I would suggest removing the chair from the rail and looking for the sensor.

ParticipantThanks, I’ll mention this and try to get there to look for myself soon.
I think it’s the same as the ameriglide horizon plus, depending which side of the pond you live.

ParticipantI had a look at my Stannah last night and with the chair at the top of the stairs I could see the slow and stop sensors which were touching the end stop on the rail. According to the wiring diagram there are 3 sensors on the carriage: Right slow, Stop and Left Slow. It is possible that the left slow sensor could just be caught inside the carriage which may prevent the downward movement. Can’t be sure but hope this helps.

Participant<div>I have found the installation manual if you haven’t already got it. May be some help!</div>
I cannot post the link as it is giving me a Forbidden Message seems to be spam message!

ParticipantThank you for all of your help.
I managed to source both an installation manual and video, I have shared it and will try to get over there at the weekend to investigate the sensors and look to set off I can resolve the issue. I really appreciate your time to answer.
