Acorn 180 E5 Code

Greetings from the United States! I recently purchased an Acorn curve 180 for my father. I think I’m very close to getting everything set up. My issue at the moment is the E5 error code. The chair is facing front. Is there a way to reset the sensor? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

E5 is up side carriage safety edge, check the carriage safety edge switches are all ok? sometime the covers/paddles stick, also check the wiring to them, if you have a meter? check continuity across the switches, if you find a duff one! DO NOT! bypass it, it’s a safety feature and it’s there to protect you!

Are you sure? On one website, E5 means the chair is swiveled and E3 means it’s the carriage safety edge.

I took off the panel cover and saw that the edge switch was loose. Probably loose from when I replaced the batteries. I no longer get this code. I also replaced the chair swivel sensor, so that could’ve caused it too. Thank you!
