I have an Acorn Superglide 120 from 2007. It was working 6 months ago, but now there’s a problem. When you move the switch on the arm, the chair doesn’t move. No error code is reported, it has power and there are no obstructions. I have tried switching it off (using the key and the power switch on the unit) and on again afte minute but it didn’t help. I have also tried moving it manually with the wheel – that didn’t help either. The batteries were replaced a few years ago.
Any ideas what I should try next? New motor or brushes perhaps?
Acorn stairlifts have stacked, hidden, and even secret error codes. Our tech team discovered many of them by using graphical electronic and electric meters. These errorcodes display nominally as multifunction errors. There is no specific broken hardware, so it was trial and error. The good news is that we fixed all of these, either in petson, or by video chat, for clients, at $75/hour. Our 24/7 mobile is (604) 512-9567 in Vancouver BC Canada.
In addition, Acorn 130 T700 errorcodes are rarely seen. Now, we know why these happen, and how to fix them.
