is the stannah 420 lift rail the same as the 600?

We just bought the Stannah Siena 600 chairlift, and I am wondering if we can use the rail we have installed already, which is a Stannah 420. We did get the rail with the 600 and it looks the same as the 420 (just 20 years newer). I was just thinking if they are the same, it would save time with the switch.
