Stannah 600 reset OSG question

Hello, I have a Stannah 600 stairlift with retractable rail which has only had light use in 6 years. Just recently on the downward run in a morning the chair has started vibrating about 2/3 of the way down the stairs. I can stop and restart the lift which stops the vibration but is a nuisance. I suspect it may be an issue with the OSG which I am trying to reset from the instructions in the manual.
Unfortunately I am having difficulty locating the actuating arm which needs to be lifted with a 4+ inch screwdriver to override the OSG and generate an error. Can anyone help me locate this please as the photograph in the manual is unclear? I have located the cam plate which is supposed to be in front of the actuating arm.
Alternatively, can I override the OSG by disconnecting one of the wires to its switch which does generate the required error? Any advice much appreciated!

Normally I’d be happy to contribute but in this case please get someone in who has been trained, the OSG is your primary safety device and must never be over-ridden.

Thanks Kevin. I don’t want to override it, just reset it as per the instructions in the installation manual. As it happens, after disconnecting the OSG switch yesterday and generating the 9 1-6 error before reconnecting and restarting it, the issue did not arise this morning so I am wondering if I have somehow reset it already.

UPDATE:
This issue has now been resolved. With the chair at the bottom of the stairs I disconnected a wire from the OSG switch and then tried to move the stairlift. This generated the 9 1-6 error (OSG switch) as required for the OSG reset. Powering off, reconnecting the switch, powering back on and driving the chair up the rail has resolved the vibrating problem which has not occurred since.

If you get this problem then renew the batteries. 600 regens batteries on the down run and if they are old they do not handle the excess current hence the vibration. Later ecu revisions also corrected this, it has nothing to do with the osg as this is purely a mechanical device (When triggered it opens a switch to error the lift)

Thanks for that useful tip. The batteries are well over 3 years old so probably due for replacement. The problem has not been happening during the warmer weather so I guess it will recur in the autumn!

Have experience with regens. Regen on vehicles happen during braking or when the accelerator is released. Regen controllers prevent battery overcharging by bypassing current away. from Too much regen caused FETs to blow in my experience.

Thanks @ianb. Replacing the batteries has resolved the issue.
