stannah 260 chairlift not turning on (dead)pls help

help needed my dads stannah 260 chairlift has gone dead i repalce with new batterys but still nothink i checked the main pcb the green led is not on but the pcb is getting 25vdc also the key is on position as well as the isolation switch to is on and the on/off on the chair is on any help will be greatfull.

Check 500ma fuse on main pcb and then check 20amp bladed fuse on batteries. If these are ok it could be that the lift has overtraveled at top or bottom try pushing the top of the chair back towards the wall and see if it comes to life. If not check the safety gear which will be on the downside bottom rail of the stairlift you may be able to click it back in with your fingers without removing any of the covers. If all that’s good then probably an issue with wiring

hi thanks for gettting back to me i found that the charge point on the chair bottom was stuck in i pulled it out the arm chair light is on now and pcb has power but the chair does not go up or down and no bleeping any idear how the safety gear looks like and can it be reset

hi it seems like my safety gear switch or ultimate limit switch is on hows the easy way of testing them as my breaks on lift are not allowing the lift to go up or down also not bleeping when turned on but main green light on pcb on aswell on the armchair off/on switch working to any help would be greatfull i have a mulitimeter as am a electronics eng

If you have any lights on then safety gear switch is not in as it would cut all power. If lift is at k at bottom or top use the manual hand winding tool normally sitting in the bottom leg of the rail and move away from the charging point to see if the issue is directional.
What caused this issue. Was the lift working and just stopped it was it left for a long time. Also does the lift have a hinge.

hi thanks for getting back what happend was that my mums cloths got stuck in the gearbox i pulled the cloths out using the winding key the found that the safety charge pin on the gearbox was stuck in and abit bent i pull safety pin back out then the light came back on but now the lift is not going up or down i tryed using the winding key up and down but still not moving i got new batterys in last week also when i put the winding key back in the relay use to click but now it does not click when putting the winding key in.thanks for getting back to me flarb.

hi flarb it feels like the brake circuit is on is there anyway to bypass it to check and see if that is the problem

hi flarb i dont know if it has a hinge do you have a pic of it please so i will check i bought a new main pcb but still chair not moving does the new pcb need programming
