Quite common on slide tracks, poor connection on comms most likely

Clean both the comms and charge brush with emery cloth and make sure copper strip is clean

Also on slide track power pack there is a copper strip inside the chassis which should run along outer edge of track, if the pack has been on/off track it may have been pressed in and missing the track, easily prises back out to rectify
