UPDATE:

This issue has now been resolved. With the chair at the bottom of the stairs I disconnected a wire from the OSG switch and then tried to move the stairlift. This generated the 9 1-6 error (OSG switch) as required for the OSG reset. Powering off, reconnecting the switch, powering back on and driving the chair up the rail has resolved the vibrating problem which has not occurred since.
