Very likely there is a board now cracked by pulling on the connections, thereby flexing the board, when removing … its hard to remove. The crack could be intermittent. I use a low voltage DC non-contact tester. A milliamp clamp ohmmeter will also work .. those are affordable now, but almost all Amazon electronics and batteries have fake specs in my experience.
