Carpenter/Installation Technician
PDC Facilities, Inc. currently has a carpenter/Installation position available to install Radio Frequency (RF)Shielding for MRI. Join a team with 40 years of pioneering MRI Shielding Solutions!
The Carpenter/Installation Technician will be required to be able to function in a fast-paced environment with often shifting priorities and tight deadlines. The role requires an ambitious self-starter who is somewhat proficient in construction trades and is motivated by learning new skills and products.Hands-on Training provided – we will train to properly install the RF Shielding. The work is safe, interesting and rewarding with the opportunity to work in some of the most prestigious hospitals in the US.
Responsibilities and Duties – Carpenter/Installation Technician
Install, layout, assemble, fabricate, fit and adjust a variety of materials in a construction environment following standard assembly methods. Specific installation and assemblies include, but are not limited to, Radio Frequency (RF) door assemblies and RF shielding materials
Perform quality inspections and workmanship that meets Company and customer standards as to structure, integrity, and appearance
Pack and unpack crated manufactured materials at job site
Complete reports such as expense, daily activity, and other reports as required
Travel required both domestic and possibly international (Greater than 80%)
Qualifications and Skills – Carpenter/Installation TechnicianPreferred Skills:
Basic rough framing carpentry skills preferred. General construction and hand and power tool knowledge
Must work with others and be a team player who can also be productive independently
Good written and oral communications
Strong attention to detail & design
PC skills and proven knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to read and interpret drawings is desired
Takes initiative to stay busy and keep job moving per direction from lead
Strong integrity and ethics
