Service Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our team. The role of Service Engineer is customer facing, which involves visiting the general public in their homes as well as NHS and care homes.

This is a full time role with a requirement to complete On-Call as per the team rota.

The main remit will be to carry out repairs and servicing of all equipment as well as installing, collecting or exchanging equipment as requested.

HOIST EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL. Stairlift experience would also be desirable.

The role is very manual, so good manual handling skills are essential (e.g. moving equipment, working in cramped or restricted positions). Driving is a major part of the role, so good driving skills and attention for detail is required.

The environment and working conditions can vary as you will be going into people’s homes. Due to the nature of this role all applicants are subject to an enhanced DBS (Debarring Disclosure Service formally CRB) check.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08.00am to 17.00pm. Must have a flexible outlook on hours to be worked as there is a requirement to be part of the on call rota.

Essential Criteria: The Person * Technical skills within a health care environment e.g. hospital beds, baths and medical products. * Reasonable level of fitness and mobility. * Excellent customer service skills and good standards of hygiene and appearance. * The ability to deal with and anticipate problems. * Flexibility in relation to hours and location of work. The Package * A competitive salary will be paid to the successful applicant dependent on skills and experience, plus overtime. * A company van with tools and mobile will be provided. * 33 days annual holidays (including bank holidays).
