Hi everyone, hope you could help me with a problem my stair-lift has despite its age.
During the last few days it has developed a fault where it wont move, the key is inserted and turned to the on position but it wont move or even make a noise to acknowledge that the switch is being pushed.
I have tried turning it off for a day to discharge the battery and the charge it up again as i though this may be the problem as it was starting to run slower and slower a day or two before it stopped.
Any indication of the problem or help will be gratefully appreciated.

Sounds like it needs new batteries, never a good idea to disharge SLA batteries, they rarely recover unless recharged immediately after use.
Generally you can expect 3 – 5 years lifespan from a decent make when recharged consistantly. -
Had an inkling that it may be them so discharging was just last ditch, any suggestions on which batteries i would need and where i can get them as i am not keen on paying for someone to fix it.

Sorry mate but as someone who gets paid to fix them, if you need to ask where and what to source something as integral as batteries you should be paying someone.
