Beep !

New to this forum and looking for any help and advice.
A couple of months ago I came home to be met by a beeping sound ( subsequently to beep every 50 seconds). I thought one of my smoke alarms needed a new battery. I did check this but they are electric. I have subsequently had all electrics checked and have been advised the beep is not coming from my house.
I live in a downstairs flat and the gentleman who lives above has an internal stairlift and I’m 99.99% sure this is where the noise is coming from. However you can’t hear the beep in his house. He has turned the power supply at the wall off (not the mains) but that makes no difference.
Has anyone any ideas that may resolve my problem ?

Is it continuos beeping or just random beeps here and there? If the latter then it could possibly be caused by a low energy light bulb giving out light on a similar frequency to that of a remote control.
Any idea what make and model of lift he has?
