Handicare 1000 powered foot rest

Hi. I have fitted a powered footrest to my handicare 1000. The switch activates the rest up and down. But when it opens the rest the moror is running too long causing a awful noise. Please help. What is the fix?.

Found the issue. Metal cog wheel had slipped due to loose grub screw and mashed the plastic cogs on the footrest. Changed the plastic cogs and reset the metal cogs. All good
